Industrial Granulated Rockwool is an unbonded mineral fibre product that has a multitude of uses – especially in passive fire protection. Industrial Granulated Rockwool is specifically manufactured to offer protection in extreme temperature situations.
The product is often installed around wall and floor penetrations to ensure that the path of fire is restricted, reducing the pathways for fire. The product is also an effective insulation with excellent heat resistance and can be used to provide insulation to pipes and vessels where space is restricted and traditional products are not suitable, fitting easily into grooves, slots, and other hard-to-reach openings.
Industrial Granulated Rockwool is also an effective sound insulator and can be used to improve the acoustic performance of walls and floors – especially around penetrations.
